In 2023, it will be exactly 30 years after the seemingly freest and fairest presidential election in Nigeria’s political history was held but unfortunately annulled by the government of the then Head of State. This fair but annulled election was held on Saturday, 12th June 1993. At the time the election was conducted, Nigeria is said to have been deeply divided along ethnic, religious, and regional lines. 29 years after, it can be said that the situation isn’t any different. In fact, it wouldn’t be wrong and unfair to say the situation is even worse now. Nigerians are grossly divided and we can see terror, crises, and crimes born out of deep hatred for one another. It is indeed a pathetic situation!
The major candidates of June 12, 1993, Presidential election had no military roots and if the just-concluded set of Presidential primaries across the major parties is to go by, it will be the first time since 1993 that no former military personnel will be contesting in the Presidential election… This, we believe isn’t a coincidence and it is imperative that some level of significance is being placed on that fact.
It was reported that over 14 million Nigerians defied bad weather, queued, and worked to elect whom they felt would unite the country at the time and make things way better than they were. It was presumed that Chief M.K.O Abiola was overwhelmingly voted for across the country because he was believed to have what it took to unite the country but unfortunately, Nigerians’ joy was cut short as the powers that be at the time decided to annul the election. In 2018, President Muhamadu Buhari honored the presumed winner and declared June 12 as the Nation’s democracy day from that point but was that enough to unite the country and change the state of affairs of the country? The answer is an emphatic NO!
30 years ago, Nigerians in the work by putting real effort into electing whom they felt was best for the country, against all odds but was their effort enough? NO!
The forces beyond the control of Nigerians frustrated their efforts and this even brought about more division in the land.
THIS IS WHY NIGERIANS MUST DO BEYOND GETTING THEIR PVCs AND GOING OUT TO VOTE AT THE UPCOMING GENERAL ELECTIONS IN 2023… NIGERIANS, MOST PARTICULARLY CHRISTIANS MUST ADD FERVENT PRAYERS TO THEIR WORK!
In lieu of this, GOD’s servant, Prophet Isaiah Wealth has called for a 7-day fast and prayers to change this narrative.
The June 12 Fast was born out of a prophetic instruction received by God’s servant, Prophet Isaiah Wealth, to call the nation to a 7-day fast and sign a petition to the court of heaven on behalf of our nation, in preparation for the 2023 general elections.
This important fast and petition to the court of heaven is aimed at interceding for the church of God in Nigeria and also to ask for GOD’s intervention in the affairs of our Nation, Nigeria through prayers with the scriptures
God’s intervention is needed in diverse ways, especially concerning the emergence of a leader whom God Himself will choose. A leader that shall usher the country to greatness and bring about the New Nigeria that we’ve been yearning for.
Join 1 Million other Nigerians to sign the new Nigeria Heavenly petition
